This meal is brought to the ancestors during a Xabu sacrifice. At the beginning of the ceremony, a large portion of the meal is offered to the ancestors. At the end of the ceremony, that part which the ancestors couldn't 'eat' is shared out among the villagers and guests present. It is said that eating such leftover offerings brings good fortune.
