Beginner Guide Revision: August 10, 2026
New to Chronicles of Arcadia? This guide will help you start your adventure, from creating your character to exploring systems that make you stronger, faster and wealthier.
Create a Character
When logging in for the first time, you'll be guided through character creation.
Name: This is your unique player identity. You can change it later by paying money.
Race & Class Selection
You’ll choose one of three races, each with its own starting zone:
- Elves
- Humans
- Dwarves
Each race offers a variety of classes (6 per race). These define your combat role:
- Tank: Absorbs damage, protects allies
- Healer: Restores health and removes debuffs
- Melee DPS: Close-range burst or sustained damage
- Ranged Physical DPS: Uses bows/guns from a distance
- Ranged Magical DPS: Uses elemental spells and AoE attacks

Gender & Appearance
- Purely cosmetic.
- Can be changed later using Diamonds.
- Character customization is available during creation and modifiable later.
Entering the World
Each race starts in a unique starting zone:
- Elves – Start on Elven Island
- Humans – Begin in the Howling Mountains, which connects to the rest of the world
- Dwarves – Start in Yrvandis Hollows
Upon entering the game, you’ll meet an NPC based on your race who will guide you through introductory quests to help you understand the game’s mechanics.
🧠 Note: Only Dwarves can complete all Yrvandis Hollow quests.
Secondary Class System
At Level 20, unlock a Secondary Class, allowing for flexible class combinations.

Max Level & Progression
- Level Cap: 106
- At Level 91+, you’ll unlock access to advanced zones like Lost Island of Atlantis and high-end gear systems.
- Talk to local NPCs in Atlas for class boosts and guides.
Movement & Controls
You can move your character using:
- WASD keys or both mouse buttons simultaneously.
- Auto-follow another player/NPC: Press the “” key (default).
- Autorun: Press INSERT (default).
- Sit/Stand: Press X (default).
🔧 Customize your keys via:
Menu → Hotkeys → Click an action → Press new key → Confirm

UI Overview
The interface is clean, customizable and supports addons.

- Chat: Includes World, Party, Guild, Whisper, and Combat logs. You can rearrange or mute tabs.
- Channel Display: Shows your active server channel (click to change).
- Minimap: With Item Shop access and quest tracking.
- XP Bar: Progress to next level.
- Skill Bars: Place your skills, items, or macros.
- Menu Shortcuts: Inventory, System, Teleport, Rental, and more.

Daily Activities & Endgame Systems

Once you’ve hit higher levels or need a break from questing:
Daily Quests
- Earn Talent Points (TP), Phirius Tokens and Gold.
Minigames
- Rewards Item Shop items and Phirius Shells.
Festival Quests
Crafting
- Level up your crafting skills to create gear and potions.
Siege Wars
- Participate in PvP battles to earn Siege War titles and rewards.
Instances
- Join a Guild or Party to run PvE instances.
Mirrorworld (Level 90+)
- Farm hearts and Cenedril items.
Custom Instance Pre-Quests (Level 102+)
- Unlock access to high-level content.
Traveling Merchant
- Spawns every 2 hours, selling Item Shop items for in-game currency.
Wheel of Fortune
- Spin daily for free Item Shop rewards.
