Detailed Guide

These kind of quests introduce a new layer of cooperative gameplay. It is immersing players in a series of community-driven challenges that test their ability to work together towards common objectives. These quests are not just about battling foes or collecting items; they are about rallying with fellow adventurers to maintain balance, protect regions from emerging threats, and secure valuable resources for the greater good.

System Structure

The Public Events cycle through two main phases within a repeating 20-minute interval, promoting continuous engagement and strategic planning. Additionally, one zone hosts an active Public Event every 30 minutes on rotation.

Event Visibility

  • Public Events are displayed throughout the entire zone.
  • If the event only takes place in part of the region, the UI will display the corresponding subzone name.

Phase 1: Maintain the Status Quo

During this initial phase, players are plunged into a variety of quest types that reflect the rich lore and dynamic ecosystems of the game's world. These can include:

  • Defensive Operations: Players may need to band together to defend a village from waves of invaders, requiring strategic positioning and coordinated defense strategies.
  • Resource Gathering: Certain quests task players with collecting rare materials or artifacts that are crucial for stabilizing the region. These quests might involve solving puzzles, navigating treacherous terrain, or engaging in diplomacy with local NPCs.
  • Environmental Challenges: Players could be called upon to mitigate natural disasters or repair critical infrastructure, demanding a mix of combat, crafting, and environmental interaction to succeed.

Phase 2: Race Against the Points

Players work together to reach a specific amount of points before time runs out. The required amount depends on the zone. This phase amplifies the urgency and requires players to prioritize their quests strategically, balancing speed with efficiency. The communal goal fosters a sense of camaraderie, as every player's contribution is vital to reaching the target before the timer runs out.

Repeatedly completing the same quest grants reduced points over time.

Rewards and Recognition

Success in these Public Events yields Energy of Justice, a currency that reflects a player's contribution to the regional stability. The rewards system is tiered, offering greater incentives for top performers while still acknowledging the efforts of all participants:

  • Top Rankers: Exclusive access to high-value items, such as the coveted Dalanis Codex items for the first place, and rare level 70 items akin to those of the Nautilus for the second and third places.
  • Participation Rewards: All participants can earn Energy of Justice based on their contribution, with a maximum of 10 Energy of Justice per event, ensuring that everyone walks away with something to show for their efforts.

The distribution of rewards is as follows:

  • 1st Place: 25 Energy of Justice
  • 2nd Place: 20 Energy of Justice
  • 3rd Place: 15 Energy of Justice
  • 4th Place: 10 Energy of Justice
  • 5th to 10th Place: 5 Energy of Justice

Justice Workshop

The conclusion of the event opens up the Justice Workshop, a special marketplace where Energy of Justice can be exchanged for unique items and gear. This feature not only rewards players for their hard work during the event but also provides ongoing goals and incentives for engaging with Public Events over the long term.
